Operator tasks with the autoclave

  1. Manual introduction of the baskets with waste inside the autoclave
  2. Manual door closing (automatic option).
  3. Manual activation of the door closing safety system (automatic option).
  4. Start of the programmed sterilization cycle.
  5. End of the selected sterilization cycle, the door unlocks and the baskets with the sterilizated waste can be removed.

Process description:

  1. PRE-VACUUM: Breaking of the packages or cans that contain the waste, so that the sterilization can reach all the products inside the basket. This cycle of prevacuum can be done as many times as required in order to ensure the breakage of all waste packages.

  2. HEATING AND STERILIZATION: The steam is introduced into the autoclave through a proportional valve. The introduction of steam is done through the proportional valve, to guarantee the homogeneous heating of the autoclave. It is possible to perform additional vacuum cycles during the heating and sterilization process to ensure the breakage of all waste bags and the sterilization of all waste. All gas produced before the sterilization is eliminated through a HEPA filter (biological / bacteriological filter) to ensure the elimination of any impurity and the release of hygienic air.

  3. CONDENSATES DISCHARGE: Once the sterilization cycle is completed, the condensates are discharged out of the autoclave. These condensates must be discharged in a purge well or in a purge cooler in order to cool them down to 50ºC before discharging them into the drainage network. <

  4. DRAINING: A final vacuum is made to drain and evaporate the condensates ​​that may have remained inside the autoclave. The vacuum air goes through a strainer to remove any impurity. Since this air is sterile, it is not necessary to go through the HEPA filter, therefore it is bypassed to ensure its best efficiency and durability.

  5. END OF CYCLE: Once the cooling process is completed, the autoclave automatically discharges the residual pressure before opening the door. At this moment the autoclave cycle ends, the operator can proceed to unlock and open the door for the extraction of the baskets and finalize the sterilization process. After that, the autoclave is ready to start the next cycle.
